The A-11 was developed for airmen in the Army Air Corps and the U.S. Army Armed Air Forces and was issued from 1942 to 1945. The digital model used an actual surviving unit as reference, passed on to a collector whose grandfather served in the 305th Bombardment Group, 40th Combat Bombardment Wing, RAF Thurleigh.
