Mr Game and Watch translates perfectly to a watch face because the character was literally born on a watch and the black and white flat art style reads beautifully at small sizes without losing any of the iconic silhouette detail. Melvin Mercier made the right call keeping the background minimal so the animation action pose carries the whole composition. The battery percentage display fitting naturally into the design as if it belongs there is the kind of thoughtful integration that separates good watch faces from great ones. this is one of my favorite watch faces but it's not available on my pixel 4

This doesn't let edit comments... the clock is bugged, looks like the dark mode goes ok top of the one in active mod and looks like a bold text

I think the animation would work a lot better if each frame is a second, still in love with it, but please consider:)
