Kong Kenan, aka in Western notation, Kenan Kong. His parents were believers of Truth, Democracy and Justice, his mother a member of the Freedom Fighters of China, the Liberty Goddess. Unfortunately his mother was killed in a plane accident when Kenan was young. Kenan would often bully Luo Lixxin, the son of the owner of the airliner his mother died on. While beating up Lixxin, he was attacked by Blue Condor, a member of the Freedom Fighters. Kenan threw a soda can at Blue Condor's head, causing him to flee. Recorded by Laney Lan, a reporter, heralded him as a hero. Picking up on Kenan's success the Ministry of Self-Reliance's director Doctor Omen decided to pick him for their Super-Man of China project. Being promised the powers of Superman Kenan travelled to their facility where he was imbued with the life force of the dead Kryptonian.
