VR402 Antique Regulateur
An 1835 French antique with a unique combination of regulator-style watch and thermometer. A fairly plain dial on flat white enamel, but yet still stylish and elegant. Original sold for $13,387 in 2019 by a well-known auction house. Features fading date and battery level indicators. Thermometer scale will switch between °C and °F based on your settings.
Interesting trivia: original watch’s thermometer was in neither °C nor °F -- it was in the lesser known Réaumur scale, an invention from 1730 where the boiling point of water was set at 80°Ré.
Thermometer requires proper permissions to be set on both watch and phone’s Facer app.
