My imagined bespoke fantasy steeped in the style of the brilliant independent watch makers Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey. This face is one that has been an on-again / off-again project for over a year. It began for me as much of a study in graphical techniques as it was an effort to create a face. Every pixel is created 100% from scratch in photoshop. GF is one of my big inspirations and stylistic influences for their use of multi-leveled elements, prominent bridges, and extremely detailed finishing. I love trying to pursue the illusion of 3d depth though the shadows and lighting of varied depths and textures. In any event, I've decided that I've stared at this one long enough and I finally figured a satisfactory way to work the date in, so I'll just put it out there for anyone who likes busy open-worked designs :) Enjoy!
