Even before i created the "GAUSS-Artjom" i was always thinking of an elegant watch face based on Nixie tubes. So i started to create this one here. To make them behave and shine as realistic as possible i made a huge research and built, based on this results, new Nixie tubes totally in 3d in AutoCAD. One of the reason, beside the realistic look, was to get a brighter light effect. The final rendering of each Nixie tube number took a long time but created really beautiful results imhO. The switchable and customizable additional bottom glow effect was drawn by hand in photohop later but i think it looks very close to original Nixie tubes with this feature. I was pretty astonished how awesome the early versions turned out in facer and on the smart watch. The big numbers have a great readability and it really looks like a true glow effect, even in AOD-Mode. To get additional informations, like temperature, step counter, heartrate bpm i added two extended display field which can be switched on or off. Besides that, i inserted 6 direct app access areas (Activity, Weather, Contacts, Calendar, Reminder and Alarm) to give the option for extended informations. I hope you gonna like this watch face, i only can tell it´s my personal favourite watch face No.1 at the moment. Greetings, GAUSS. Update-11-06-2020: Solved a problem with the Nixie-Tubes in the 12h-Version. Reduced filesizes for better results. Added new constructed and 3d-rendered Nixie tubes for seconds.Update-11-07-2020: Replaced all Nixietubes with better ones (Sharper, brighter), darkened the outer ring a little bit.
