A (not so) simple approach on analog watches. Flat, vibrant colors that give the sens of layers but NOT depth. Each hand has a corresponding circle progress and, apart from time, the center ring gives info about your remaining battery :)
Dim mode provides simple digital time + a small battery indicator.

non of the watch faces I use show the right always on mode. it usually just dins the face
