I LOVE segmented display fonts, as evidenced by the Chunky Giant series, so now it's time for fourth iteration.
Based on segmented display projects by Pose (http://www.michieldb.nl/other/segments/) and inspired by The Watch Architect's Enzio watchface (https://www.facer.io/watchface/KD9WTMemHv), I wanted to create some color combinations that I've had in my notes for a while now, and Watch Arhitect's idea to color each segment separately immediately looked like the perfect debut! Plus with a small twist of my own making :)
Slight number shape variation is present as I think I like them bit different :)
Chunky Giant 4 is simple: 12/24 hours time, current date, battery status replaced (tilt your wrist down 45 degrees!) by steps.

This color theme is based on my own picture of leaves being lit by Sun, seen from below.

I've made the AOD time brighter, see if it helps.
As to gyro-based step appearance, it may depend on watch. I remember having some trouble on TicWatch but no issues at all on Galaxy 4 (while I had both available). But even on my Samsung it works after a couple of seconds from loading the face.
Initially, my idea was for steps/battery to change very five seconds - if nothing else works, I can create a version like that for you :)
