My Hero Academia
My Hero Academia is a superhero manga series written and illustrated by Kōhei Horikoshi. Set in a world where superpowers (called "Quirks") have become commonplace, the story follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy who was born without a Quirk but still dreams of becoming a superhero himself. He is scouted by All Might, Japan's greatest hero, who bestows his Quirk to Midoriya after recognizing his potential, and helps to enroll him in a prestigious high school for superheroes in training. In North America, the manga series has been licensed by Viz Media. Both the manga and its anime adaptation have received an overwhelming positive response from both critics and audiences, and are considered one of the best of the 2010s. The manga won several awards and garnered numerous accolades. It had over 65 million copies in circulation worldwide, with 45 million in Japan and 25 million worldwide, making it one of the best-selling manga series of all time.
