Just another late night idea that refused to let me sleep until I made it work. The time wheels spin with each change of hour/minute (think Wheel of Fortune, but faster) and the central orange stripes are the battery level, which also pulses when charging.
The wheel effect isn't exactly what I was aiming for, but as I couldn't figure out how to code the motion that I wanted, I settled for something almost as good... maybe better?
Update: I've refined the wheel effect so it has acceleration and deceleration, which looks much tidier. I've also tweaked a few things like adding a bounce to the second hand, the pointers now move in from the sides on wake, and the charge indicator has a gentle pulse, then turns green when charging.
Update 2: Just tweaked the second hand rotation as I was never really happy about how bouncy it was.
