Nordic NineWorlds
The Germanic cosmos consists of nine worlds, which are usually distributed over three levels. There are a bewildering number of conflicting models for doing this. This is not least due to the fact that the position of the nine worlds is described differently in the legends: B. in the north and at the same time in the deep (because the hero of the legend descends to it). Often this information is meant more symbolically than spatially
A list of the 9 worlds:
1. Asgard - World of the Asen (gods)
2. Vanaheim - world of the Wanen (also Vanen, the "shiny"), older deities, especially gods of fertility and agriculture
3.Ljossalfheim - world of light albums (elves)
4. Midgard - Middle World, place of residence of the people
5. Jötunheim - world of giants
6. Niflheim - Dunkelheim, dark world in the deep or icy world in the north, is also (probably wrongly) interpreted as "Nebelheim"
7. Muspelheim - fire kingdom in the south
8. Svartalfheim - world of black albums (dwarfs)
9. Helheim - realm of the dead.
