You may feel like you're stuck in a holding pattern. Sometimes you feel like you're on the sidelines, watching everyone else's lives move forward while yours is stuck in neutral or even worse, feeling like you're in reverse. And it can be really hard to figure out how to cope with that feeling. I don't know about you, but in these times... my anxiety feels heighted to the 10th degree. You start asking yourself 10,000 questions, you feel uncertain, and then you second, third, and fourth guess all your decisions and whether what you're waiting on will ever come to pass. Then, you start thinking that you need to start making drastic changes... AND DO IT NOW. My friend, what I have learned is this- you cannot solve an ongoing problem with a temporary quick fix solution. There is a scripture in the bible that has become one of my favorites; Proverbs 21:5 - The plans of the diligent lead to profit as surely as haste leads to poverty. My interpretation is simply this, you cannot make irrational decisions that you have not given yourself the space and time to think through and pray through as it will lead you on a path of disappointment, more frustration, and may even leave you broke in the process. Instead, if you choose to continue to seek God's direction, be focused in doing good- for you and others around you, and stay the course- without focusing on what you see and hear or in some cases DON'T see and hear, you will reap the benefits that are in store for you. God's plan is for you to prosper, not be harmed. So in all your hard work, know that it is not in vain.
