I do not really know why, but looking at the dial reminds me of the 1985 movie poster "The Emerald Forest." The contrast of the emerald neon light with the associated green of the rainforest prompted me to choose the background image. More recently, by fires and deforestation at risk, I dedicate this clock face to the endangered lungs of the earth.
