Flying Over Rome
A surreal and elegant watch face inspired by a spectacular aerial view of Rome.
The background depicts a sunlit Roman cityscape with warm terracotta rooftops, classical architecture, a domed church, ancient ruins, and the Colosseum. Above the city, a striking pink helicopter flies across the sky while carrying a large, translucent fabric banner suspended beneath it.
The banner becomes the visual centerpiece of the watch. Its delicate golden border and translucent fabric allow the Roman landscape to remain subtly visible through it, creating the illusion of a giant floating clock canvas above the city.
The watch uses elegant golden analog hands and a fine, understated golden hour scale around the perimeter. The hands remain clearly readable while blending naturally with the warm architectural tones of the scene.
Four complications are integrated around the artwork:
Steps — footsteps icon and step count.
Heart Rate — heart icon and BPM.
Battery — battery icon and percentage.
Temperature — thermometer icon and temperature.
The word “Nana” appears near the bottom of the display in elegant golden script.
In AOD mode, the entire Roman scene becomes dark and atmospheric. The golden hands and complication information remain visible, while the illuminated elements create the impression of a nighttime view over Rome. The suspended banner remains recognizable as the central artistic element.
The overall design combines surreal aviation, classical Rome, elegant horology, and cinematic photography into a distinctive artistic smartwatch face.
